Are you passionate about service user leadership? Do you have what it takes to embed the Young Person’s voice with relevant stakeholder to ensure we provide a service that takes account of their needs, and one that they can engage in effectively? If you are keen to provide one-to-one and group support to young service users, and can enable the exploration of their values, self-identity being, and self respect, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

This role is focussed on advocating for the Young Person’s voice, through the creation of forums, groups and events. A key to this role is providing effective feedback from those groups to local service mangers, the Head of Young People’s delivery and Business Development partners to ensure that the Young Person’s voice is heard and embedded in our service delivery.

The salary is paid at the National Living Wage rate, depending on your age.

You will engage with service users, creating forums, groups and events and acting as the Young Person’s voice at all times both internally and externally. To do this, you will have good communication skills, an ability to work well with others, and a knowledge and understanding of young people’s needs. Your communication skills, and that understanding of young people’s needs will enable you to provide one to one mentoring for young people aged 10-24.

As a Young Ambassador, you will be able to assess service user’s needs, liaise with key workers and sign post as appropriate to specialist agencies. Your ability to work as part of a team will aid you in liaise and work in partnership with relevant stakeholders to ensure the voice of service users is heard and carried through our service.

This is an opportunity to ensure a safe and appropriate environment for our young service users through the prevention and management of abusive and aggressive behaviours.

Are you aged between 16 and 25 ? Then this is an exciting opportunity to work as a Young Persons Young Ambassador for With You. You could be working virtually on a national level , or within a service face to face at one at one of our many locations. The role will be predominately to help us co produce service publications and offers, using your lived experience as a young person.
Please note this role is Home Based.

Essential Skills

  • Secondary level of education

  • Ability to provide innovative ideas
  • General written and communication skills
  • Basic IT skills, including Google Suite and digital media
  • Ability to collate and analyse basic data and present material clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work with people regardless of race, gender, ethnicity and sexual orientation
