The role is  to provide a single point of contact for all Transport related issues for both on and off site. You will be maintaining the day to day schedules ensuring these collections meet their time slots and are proving the most reliable and cost effective method of getting our customers parcels to the carriers. You will need to be forward thinking and be tenacious in your approach to both internal and external customers especially on the occasions things go wrong.

your core Responsibilites will be but not limited to:-

Co-ordinate all on and off site collections between Ops/Sales/Carrier and the customer.

Keep accurate records of costs, trailer fills and schedules.

Be proactive to find the best solution for a given customer.

Work with the Ops and Sales team to plan for peak periods.

Debrief the Nottingham Distribution Team

Arrange new collections and injection slots for new and existing customer

Manage changes to schedules including customer comms

Manage late and failed customer collections by carriers

Provide quotes for collection cost to sales team.

Answering incoming enquiries from internal and external customer relating to transport.

Develop and provide daily weekly and monthly reports

Working Hours are Monday to Friday 10:00am to 18:30pm

Essential Skills

  • Planning, prioritising and organisation skills and accuracy when maintaining records.
  • To be flexible with hours of work as evening and weekend work may be required in line with business requirements.
  • IT Literate, intermediate MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical skills – Able to analyse data, spot trends, draw conclusions and make recommendations to Management.
  • The ability to generate reports.
  • Previous experience in the Transport planning Industry
