We have 4 roles available for support workers to assist our service users to access the community and to support them to attend regular events and activities of their choosing.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about providing the highest level of support to our service users.

The role involves working with vulnerable adults in a home environment. You will be responsible for assisting our Service Users in all aspects of their personal care and domestic tasks.

We are looking for people to assist in the assessment of needs, helping to manage finances, encouraging decision making in line with the best interests of your service users.

You will also assist in providing appropriate information, advice and guidance to Service Users on matters relating to finance, good housekeeping, health, neighbours, safety, security and daily activities all whilst maintaining dignity and respect at all times.

Essential Skills

  • Experience of empowering people, with varying degrees of ability and need.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively. Showing tact, patience, sensitivity and courtesy, even in stressful situations.
  • Skills in legibly recording and presenting information.
  • Basic literacy & numeracy skills.
  • Skills in everyday household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, gardening, shopping etc.
  • Ability to work with people with personal care support needs.
  • Good IT skills.

Desired Skills

  • Previous experience of working in Health & Social Care.
  • NVQ 2 or above (preferable but not essential).
