  • You will lead by example, manage and maintain the discipline across the staff and ensure the delivery of service is always maintained to a high standard.
  • You will commit to best practice and understand the fundamentals of security: Deter, Detect, Delay.
  • You will have the security knowledge, exposure, experience, able to train and offer feedback, show competences to demonstrate the ability to manage the security function and introduce new policies, processes and innovation to promote the Securitas brand via excellent communications skills and drive operational excellence across the site.

For the right person we will reward you with a salary of up to £50,000 per annum

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the contents of the contract requirements including associated profit & loss.
  • Management and delivery of the security function.
  • Ensure that all Securitas staff are compliant with legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all Securitas staff have their allocated PPE.
  • Ensure that all site issues, incidents, events are dealt with within a timely manner and escalate matters when required.
  • Overseeing security investigations, managing disciplinaries or recommending further actions.
  • Ensure site structures / rotas are correct in line with timegate.
  • Manage sickness and absence in accordance with the Securitas business policies – Ensuring return to works are completed and ensure 121’s are completed.
  • Maintain stakeholder management, meet the client’s expectations.
  • Manage and meet the KPI’s, manage and maintain data and reporting.
  • Create & update assignment instructions, risk assessments, standard operating procedures to enhance the security functions.
  • Managing any adhoc requirements asked of you either client / branch / national account related.
  • Recruit, coach and develop staff – maintain operational efficiency / effectiveness.
  • Ensure internal audits are conducted bi-annually, assist in external audits when required.
  • Action any business-related requests within agreed time frames.

Essential Skills

  • SIA & CCTV License.
  • The right to work in the UK with a 5 year checkable history.
  • 3 Years’ experience of operating within a security management role (managing staff and budgets).
  • Full driving license with access to own vehicle.
  • Leadership & Management qualification Level 3 or above.
  • Education to A level or equivalent.
  • Willing to complete further training and qualifications.
  • Understand the support functions within Securitas.
  • Excellent written & verbal communications.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to influence.
  • Rational and logical thinker.
  • Experience of control rooms – CCTV – Operating systems.
  • Excellent management of incidents – Shared situational awareness (METHANE) and the principals for joint working (JESIP).
  • Understanding of the emergency services command responses – Gold (Strategic – What) Silver (Tactical – How) / Bronze (Operational – Doing) command.
  • Can do attitude, get the job completed.
  • Ability to negotiate and to create good working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Stakeholder management skills.
  • Computer literacy – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Methodical, numerate, grammatical with the ability to produce professional business documents.
  • Finance astute understands Profit & Loss.
  • Prioritise of workload. Manage course bookings.
  • Fully flexible (will be required to work outside normal office hours at times).
  • Integrigty – Maintain confidentiality at all times.

Desired Skills

  • Security related degree.
  • Knowledge of the retail complex.
  • Security professional relevant qualification or certified security management professional certificate – Must be prepared to obtain within the first 12 months.
  • Local to site.
