Our Motorrad Dealership in Bristol is looking to recruit an accomplished and driven Service Manager to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience of working in a busy Service Department to take the next step in their career. We are looking for someone who has the ability to consistently deliver excellent customer service and has ambition to progress within Motorrad and Dick Lovett Group.

The successful candidate would need to have previous experience managing a team and a proven record in delivering results within a Dealership Service Department. You must be reliable, confident and able to motivate and support a team to drive performance.

You will be responsible for all customer relations, procedures and contacts for service repairs and maintenance through the dealership. Our successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of Service Department plans and budget, including gross profit, control of indirect and direct expenses, labour efficiency and all related items to achieve financial and customer service targets.

Essential Skills

Experience of managing people in an automotive setting is preferred, but we would also be interested to see applications from people looking to take the next step in their career, who have worked as a Service Advisor for a length of time and want to progress.

You will need to have excellent organisation skills and be able to direct and manage the activities of Workshop and other Service Staff in order to achieve target plans and budgets. Someone with a systematic approach to managing a busy aftersales department coupled with strong interpersonal skills has the opportunity to excel in this role.

We need someone who can confidently contribute to the development of operating the administrative policies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the Service Department. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and DMS systems would be essential and previous use of Kerridge would be preferable. Knowledge of warranty procedures would also be advantageous but not essential.

For this role you will nee a full, clean driving licence and having a motorbike licence would be advantageous.
