About the job

As a Service Administrator, you will be part of our services support team, providing an all-round administration and reception service including secretarial and data related tasks. There will also be prescriptions to prepare ready for our clinical team to sign and distribute.

It’s a very busy service as we have many clients to support so a smooth-running support team is crucial to us achieving our aims each and every day.

You will also have a role to play in ensuring the security and health & safety of everyone who comes into the service.

There’s great variety in this role from greeting clients to ordering stationery, maintaining our data quality to processing time sheets – there’s always something we’ll need your help with.

Essential Skills

To do this Service Administrator job successfully, you will need:

  • sound knowledge of data
  • experience of providing great admin support in a busy environment
  • the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • to be confident working in a team environment and able to work collaboratively with everyone 
  • a good level of maths and English (verbal and written)
  • to be organised, able to manage and prioritise you time, and deal with changing and conflicting demands with ease
  • good analytical skills with an eye for detail
  • a can do, positive attitude
  • excellent IT skills, including database management and digital media
  • to understand work-based health & safety issues
  • some flexibility with working hours and location from time to time

This role requires a satisfactory standard level DBS certificate as part of our safeguarding checks process.

Desired Skills

If you have worked in a charitable organisation before and/or have knowledge or experience of our client group, that would be an advantage but not essential.
