Rainbo have an exciting opportunity as a Senior Procurement Specialist to offer in an established company that is one of the UK’s leading global procurement service providers. We are based in Crawley, West Sussex, which is an easy commute from London or the south coast.

Please note that this role will be full time working from our office in Crawley!

In return for your hard work as our Senior Procurement Specialist, you will be offered a competitive salary dependant on experience plus a wide range of benefits including:

  • Standard working hours are 09.00 – 5:30, Monday to Friday. (this is flexible i.e. 08.00 – 16.30)
  • This position is office based and not remote.

What will I be responsible for?

As our Senior Procurement Specialist, you will deal effectively with enquiries, orders and queries, liaising with customers, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure business is secured and customer requirements are met. Other duties include

  • Manage large and high value RFQs providing calculations and analysis as required.
  • Provide technical assistance on complex and detailed quotations, contracts and agreements.
  • Negotiate, source internationally and obtain a wide range of goods, materials, equipment and services
  • Compile and present competitive bids that meet exact customer needs and technical and commercial requirements to facilitate positive decisions
  • Effectively manage new and existing customer and supplier relationships
  • Execute and manage supplier contracts in accordance with guidelines to optimise cost, service, quality and capital.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers on the basis of credibility/capability, commercial, technical and delivery criteria against the client requirement and assess the worth of offering options.

Our ideal Senior Procurement Specialist will have 5 years+ experience of working in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment, ideally gained within a private sector SME. You will be proactive with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to think on your feet and learn quickly. You will possess the ability and confidence to use your own initiative where necessary and participate in team discussions if required. You will also have:

  • Good attention to detail with the ability to consistently record and relay accurate information.
  • Used to working in a SME environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to build appropriate professional working relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers and customers alike.
  • A flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to work outside contracted hours when required.
