It’s an exciting time to join our team and there are exciting opportunities on the horizon for the right person including this fantastic full-time Senior Photographer vacancy within our Marketing department at our head office in Chandlers Ford.

Job responsibilities

Reporting to our Head of Creative Services, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Photographic and Video Studio.

This will include:

  • Overseeing the Studio process for all visual content from styling, through creation, editing, retouching through to point of release
  • Producing visual content for our communication channels, bringing briefs to life across the full mix of marketing tactics and channels, including advertising, campaigns, internal comms, product launches and promotions
  • Supporting and occasionally performing high-quality post shoot retouching.
  • Producing images and animated sequences for social media, websites and other e-commerce platforms
  • Working within process and brand guidelines to sign-off final content in collaboration with project stakeholders
  • Working closely with all departments to ensure shoot planning is in line with business priorities and external messaging
  • Signing off final visual content to include quality and sequence in line with business directives
  • Coordinating location shoots, including booking studios, models and team resource in order to deliver to requirements
  • Maintaining process guidelines and communicating changes or updates to all team members to ensure a consistent approach at all points
  • Ensuring equipment is up-to-date and maintained to high standards, advising on new technologies, software and equipment that will enhance and improve production of visual content
  • Identifying emerging trends to grow the studio capabilities and overall impact of the visual media your team produces

As our Senior Photographer, you will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of the studio team.

Essential Skills

Skills required

  • a degree or Higher Qualification in Photography as well as a minimum of 5 years’ commercial experience in a fast-paced studio or marketing environment, including responsibility for managing and organising visual media projects
  • Expert knowledge of photography, retouching and lighting techniques.
  • Videography experience would be an advantage
  • Creative, with an excellent eye for detail
  • Organised and effective in working to strict deadlines
  • A strong communicator, passionate about visual media and maintaining Draper’s reputation for excellence this area
  • Fully conversant using Capture One and the Adobe CC suite, particularly Photoshop and Lightroom. An interest in 3-D rendering and animation would also be beneficial
  • Broad knowledge of using and maintaining a range of photographic equipment
  • Experience of managing a team

This role will require travel to offsite shoot locations so a full Driver’s Licence is also essential
