Due to continued success and future business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Architectural Technician to join our team supporting our developments in the West Scotland Area.

The Role

Joining our team as Senior Architectural Technician, you will be responsible for implementing the control and reporting of all architectural matters to meet the Region’s business plan and future growth requirements.

Key duties and requirements

You will also be responsible for but not limited to;

  • Managing and reporting all architectural requirements as per company policies and processes.
  • Preparing site layouts
  • Managing the working partnerships with Housing Associations, third party providers and sub-contractors to ensure that all contractual terms are met and ensure that all appointments and orders are placed, managed and settled as per company policies and processes.
  • Engaging fully in the process of determining, agreeing and delivering site start programmes and development programmes within agreed timescales.
  • Assisting in the production or procurement of technical investigations for inclusion in Land Appraisals.
  • Managing technical and regulatory approvals and adoptions and provide key status reports and updates on all KPIs relating to the technical function.
  • Actively managing communications with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring that all necessary third-party design elements are sought, audited and obtained in line with the regional business plan.
  • Assisting with the effective management of CDM-C & Health & Safety responsibilities on all developments.
  • Assisting in the delivery of effective and relevant legal documentation for each development or phase of development.
  • Open to expand their knowledge within engineering elements
  • Project managing a number of live sites

Essential Skills

Who are we looking for?

We are looking to speak with experienced candidates at intermediate and senior professional level, particularly those with experience of residential layout design.

To be considered for this role you must also possess;

  • A full UK driving licence
  • Excellent Technical knowledge and Commercial awareness
  • Good time management and organisation skills
  • Experienced with Auto CAD software, experience of Revit is preferred yet not essential
  • Financial and Legal awareness
  • Knowledge of codes of practice that impact on technical matters e.g. Planning policy, Building Regulations, NHBC requirements, HSE etc.
  • Good knowledge of Construction Design Management Regulations
  • Previous proven experience of project management with a residential developer would be beneficial.
  • A strong understanding of the Architectural aspects of the house building industry would also be advantageous.
