A Securitas Security Supervisor position has opened, with the responsibility of managing all security personnel and day-to-day operations.
This position is key to the operational success and providing a central point of contact for service delivery development, performance, measurement, and centralised reporting.
- Working 42 hours per week
- Monday to Friday – 08:00 to 16:30
- SIA is essential
How you will make an impact as a Security Supervisor:
- Ensure all under your supervision have undertaken the appropriate site training and are in possession of a valid SIA license or LDN to meet industry requirements.
- Accurate rostering and forward planning of all direct reporting officers, ensuring sufficient cover for holidays, sickness, and absences.
- Speak with all Security Officers, proactively monitoring performance, maintaining positive employee relations, and ensuring coaching, counselling and any investigations are implemented in line with company policy and procedures as necessary.
- Monitor and manage the appearance and behaviours of all Security
personnel, taking remedial action as appropriate, in line with company policy and procedures. - Ensure all incidents are reported in compliance with customer and company policy and procedures.
- Plan and implement staff training and actively encourage staff recognition and staff nominations for awards.
- Be fully conversant with operational functions including Access Control, CCTV, Detection and Alarm Systems, ensuring an effective monitoring and reporting function is maintained.
- First point of contact for security function related queries, referring any complaints with regards to security practices to the Security Manager.
- Assist the Security Management Team in developing and sharing of best practice, using systems and tools to improve service effectiveness.
Essential Skills
- Right to work in the UK and have a five-year checkable employment history
- Must hold Enhanced SSCL screening.
- Current SIA licence.
- Competent in MS Word, Excel, and E-Mail (Outlook).
- Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills. Able to negotiate and deal with sensitive and confidential matters with tact and discretion.
- Adaptable and responsive in the face of changes in priorities, plans and schedules.
- Able to manage self, lead others and build positive relationships.
- Strong communication and organisation skills.
