- Working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Split shifts: opening up at 07:00-09:00 locking up at 17:00-19:00
- Checking all floors of the building and manning Reception until Receptionist arrives in the mornings, and manning Reception in the evenings from 5pm until closing at 7pm.
- SIA licence is essential
- City Centre Location at Shaftesbury Square
Yor responsibilities will include:
- Meet, greet and assist visitors/staff/contractors in a professional and friendly manner ensuring correct passes are issued, accurate information recorded.
- Answer all incoming calls, handling general enquiries, transferring calls to appropriate person/department, and being responsible for the switchboard.
- Issuing appropriate passes, monitoring flow of people and ensuring that all Security systems and linked items (cards, lanyards, etc) are responsibly issued and returned.
- Comply with all Front of House/Reception Manual instructions and/or Assignment Instructions.
- Record keeping of all visitors, staff, contractors, keys, activities, couriers and incidents and maintaining relevant documentation in support of the above.
- Assist in emergency situations i.e., fire evacuation and conduct staff searches where required.
- Contribute to security and control room duties, where appropriate.
- Maintain an alert and vigilant approach at all times, to ascertain any potential threats or changes within the work environment and take the appropriate steps in order to reduce disruption, loss or damage.
- Helping with any guest queries, client requests or problems and front desk enquiries from couriers, post and correspondence related duties.
- Ensuring that the lobby, reception/waiting area, and main reception desk areas are consistently kept clean, tidy and in line with Customer presentation standards.
- Collaborative approach to working with other internal Client departments to ensure smooth, seamless operations.
- Regular review working practices to ensure standards are being met and remain efficient.
- Carry out any other duties as advised by the Duty Manager.
Essential Skills
- SIA licence
- Right to work in the UK with a 5 year checkable history
- Flexible and adept at working under pressure
- Professional approach, displaying utmost discretion at all times
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate (working knowledge of Microsoft)
- Good Customer Service skills
