The role of a Security Officer is interesting and varied, you are responsible for protecting our customer’s property, people, and/or assets by providing security services to a specific site in direct accordance with the customer’s assignment instructions.

Working within a team across a 12-hour shift pattern, your shift pattern will be 4 on 4 off days & nights including weekends & bank holidays. Additionsl shifts available, including Upskilling oportunities.

The main responsibilities for this Security Officer role are:
- Assisting in Fire Alarm monitoring and other systems (full training will be given).
- Remaining 100% alert and vigilant at all times
- Patrolling
- Retaining full control of any threatening behaviour
- To ensure effective handover during the shift changeover
- To liaise with, when necessary, external authorities such as the Police and Fire Brigade Accurate recording of all events in the Assignment Log
- Continual monitoring and management of the CCTV and Access Control Systems including database management.
- Able to work as part of a close team, completing duties assigned by Team Leader/Site Manager.

Essential Skills
How you will make an impact as a Security Officer operator:
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Right to work in the UK and have a five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment
- SIA Licence
- Good communication skills, able to articulate with authority
- You must be able to remain calm and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times
- You will be vigilant and alert, able to use a blend of caution with a decisive common-sense approach to your duties.
- Applicants must be flexible to work various shifts including weekends.
- Excellent customer service skills
Useful to know
Successful applicants will be screened to the industry standard BS7858. You will be required to provide documents as evidence of your Right to Work in the UK, Postal Proof of Address (dated within the last 3 months) and an additional ID document.
