Job responsibilities
As Sales Merchandiser, you will be responsible for maintaining our tool bar ranges, ensuring displays are kept up to date and placing stock orders when required. You will also be a point of contact for our team of Area Sales Managers.
Your role will include:
- Accountability for the performance of a defined area, ensuring instructions are met.
- Making sure stock levels are kept to a maximum in all designated accounts.
- Looking for new sales opportunities when with customers.
- Making sure all customer re-stock cards are up to date.
- Keeping all customer displays neat and tidy.
- Setting up displays for new and existing customers.
- Regularly using and demonstrating product samples.
- Maintaining knowledge of competitors strengths and weaknesses.
- Organising collection and return of warranty items.
- Providing efficient and timely responses to general administration, expenses and reporting responsibilities.
- Representing the company in an appropriate and professional manner.
- Attending end user trade shows as required which may involve weekend and evening working.
- Creating and implementing an efficient journey plan to effectively manage your area.
Essential Skills
Skills required
- Previous experience within the Tool Industry; Hand and Power Tools knowledge would be an advantage.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Exceptional negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
- Open to change.
- The ability to build and maintain excellent relationships.
- Clean driving licence.
- Strong IT skills.
