PETA Ltd are supporting a leading fire door manufacturer, Southern Fire Doors Ltd, in the recruitment and training of a Purchasing Administrator Apprentice. There are excellent progression routes available for the right applicant upon completion of the apprenticeship. Potential future roles include progression to Purchasing Manager or Stores Manager.

Training to be provided:

Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15 month apprenticeship which includes 10 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.

About the role:

The Purchasing Administrator Apprentice will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintaining stock levels of product required for manufacturing
  • Finding the best prices for product from various suppliers
  • Passing phone enquiries to Managing Director / Sales Director
  • Taking messages as required for other staff members
  • Filing and archiving purchasing paperwork as required
  • Liasing with Workshop Manager
  • Ordering / dealing with general enquiries regarding stock

• 40 hours per week
• Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00

Essential Skills

As this is an apprenticeship, no prior experience is required! However, applicants should have:

GCSEs in maths and English with at least a grade 4/C are required.
