Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) is looking for fantastic bar and waiting staff for its pub – the Lord’s Tavern. Casual work is available all year round, including during cricket matches.

These bar and waiting staff roles involve:
- always delivering food and beverage service to the highest standard
- following clear cash handling and till management procedures
- carrying out correct stock control, cellar management, bar setup, and breakdown procedures
- retaining and communicating knowledge of menus
- effectively and efficiently responding to customer queries and needs
- acting as an ambassador for the prestigious Lord’s brand
- maintaining our high presentation standards
- keeping your work area clean and tidy at all times
- complying with Health and Safety standards at all times
We welcome applications for bar and waiting staff from candidates with experience or an enthusiasm for developing their skills in the following areas: pub, bar staff, waiting, catering, hospitality, operations, food service, drinks service, customer service, and health & safety.

These bar and waiting staff roles are on a zero-hours contract offering flexibility.
Essential Skills
- A flexible approach, able to work weekdays, weekends, and public holidays (including early mornings and evenings)
- Previous experience desirable
- Team player who is flexible and reliable
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service with a smile
- Good communication skills and someone who is happy to speak to customers to offer recommendations and information
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and thrive on a challenge

Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) owns Lord’s Cricket Ground in St. John’s Wood, London. It is an exceptional venue, steeped in history and grandeur, with our own in-house Catering, Hospitality and Events team renowned for delivering events and experiences of the highest quality.
The historic Lord’s Tavern has been welcoming locals and visitors for over 100 years. It has a range of beers and a delicious menu that draws inspiration from the world of cricket.
