Our New Business team are recruiting for a People Transfer and Transition Manager, to design and lead effective people plans for the transfer and implementation of new business and contract retention, using best practice and innovation. This is a new role for the organisation, so we are looking for a tenacious, self-motivated HR professional, who can make their mark quickly and effectively. 

The postholder will lead the transformation of our workforce to deliver our contractual service delivery commitments and vision. This will include responsibility for informing people related decisions, risks and mitigation, ensuring the practical and lawful application of TUPE and designing strategies for mitigating people impacts related to new business and contract retention. You will also be required to support the growth of existing services where additional investment in delivery results in an increased workforce. A full job description is available on request.

We’re looking for a CIPD qualified HR leader, with highly credible experience in employment law and people policies and procedures. You will have a proven ability to design successful people change management programmes including implementations, restructure and TUPE. This is a busy role, with multiple projects ongoing, so it’s important that you are highly organised, proactive and able to manage your time effectively whilst working under pressure. Your work will be complex, so you must have the ability to clearly articulate people transfer solutions to senior internal and external stakeholders, and especially when challenged, to explain the approach, key risks, assumptions, and plausible mitigations. The role is home-based, with some travel to sites as necessary.

Essential Skills

Chartered Member of the CIPD or equivalent experience

Experience of planning and delivering end to end TUPE transfers

Proven ability to design successful people change management programmes including implementations, restructure and TUPE

Highly credible HR experience and a good understanding of employment law, HR people policies and procedures

Experience of influencing and consulting with a wide range of stakeholders, identifying their requirements and being adaptive to their needs

Demonstrate attention to detail, manage multiple competing priorities, and a proactive self-motivated approach

Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and handle multiple tasks

Exceptional analytical skills:, formulating insights and constructing recommendations

Ability to define risks and how to mitigate them

Ability to clearly articulate people transfer solutions to senior internal and external stakeholders, and have the ability, especially when challenged, to explain the approach, key risks, assumptions, and plausible mitigations

Ability to work flexible and unsocial hours as required

Essential Requirements
