Mountain Healthcare recognises that commitment to a specialist training post can be a big decision. However, we believe we can offer a specialist programme of development that will support you through your transition from a Senior House Officer. Part-time applications will be considered.

As part of the Forensic Medical Programme, Mountain Healthcare Ltd has developed a framework to develop key areas of knowledge and skills which will be invaluable in all specialties, especially A&E, GP, paediatrics, psychiatry, sexual health and of course, forensic medicine.

This programme predominantly covers Paediatric Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs) and experience within police custody. Travel will be a requirement of this role especially cross county.

As a Forensic Medical Examiner, you will learn through clinical placements and blended learning as well as receive further personal support with an allocated mentor. We will identify an individualised programme of education and exposure to clinical environments, providing opportunities for examinations, in addition to financial support whilst undertaking this post.

Essential Skills

  • Medical degree & completion of foundation training.
  • UK full residency for a minimum of 3 years is required for police background checks.
  • All successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment checks including an Enhanced DBS check, two satisfactory references, and Police vetting checks.

Desired Skills

Experience within general practice, emergency medicine, substance misuse services, prison healthcare or mental health.
