The National Operations Manager will establish and maintain strong and longstanding client relationships, monitor client profitability, risk management, cross-selling and growing the portfolio, situated across three locations in the South East.

The successful candidate will have a pivotal role in bringing our purpose to life. You will work in partnership with teams across the business and contribute towards the overall strategic direction and drive operational performance across the portfolio.

How you will make a difference as a National Operations Manager:

  • Generate and implement quality and compliance processes, specifically designed to install a consistent approach against each location, keeping in view and coupled with Securitas polices and commitment to delivering business standards and excellence.
  • Drive the Purpose Strategy through all levels of the business, ensuring that everyone supports the three main elements of Client Centricity, Innovation and Empowered People.
  • Engage with the customer’s organisation and decision makers, utilise business and industry skills to create new opportunities to accelerate mutual growth, if appropriate.
  • Provide total account support focused on customer service, maximising customer satisfaction levels.
  • Analyse, identify and create productivity and efficiency savings across the locations for the benefit of the customer and Securitas.
  • Ensure that the customer is presented with coherent and professional statistics in relation to account performance.
  • Create effective working relationships between the different members of the account team, driving and improving productivity.
  • Interact with Business Divisions and Operational Teams at all levels to ensure efficient service provision and service solution.
  • Apply excellent client integration with the appropriate stakeholder to align Securitas business standards and values with the specific client / account.
  • Cooperate with partners to develop strong relationships to include (but not limited to) managing projects, negotiating agreements to reach a fair deal, managing co-workers and teamwork.
  • Advise, help clients realise their potential opportunity with Securitas and articulate the benefit across their security, technology, fire and safety spend profile, helping them also to achieve their business objectives.
  • Responsible and accountable for all deliverables and services across the portfolio including, day-to-day operations, hiring, training and performance. Developing and retaining personnel, meet or exceed cost-saving/efficiency & operational goals while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Support the Strategic Account Director and Site Management across the account to ensure excellent customer relationships at all levels.

Essential Skills

  • Right to Work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history
  • Front line SIA licence
  • Driving licence and must be prepared to travel 
  • At least 2-3 years’ working in a similar role with management / leadership experience
  • I.T literate, customer focused and excellent communication skills
  • Proactive, professional, and able to work in a challenging environment 
  • Self-driven, able to work co-operatively in a team environment and work with confidential information
  • Able to lead a team, build strong relationships and a high-performance culture
  • Willing to undertake further formal training and development, committed to your own self-development

Desired Skills

  • Formal Management qualification
  • Excellent understanding of associated industry British Standards
  • Experience in the Defence Security sector
  • Experience of training/developing staff
