CPI Data Collector – Mobile, with travel up to 30 miles

A CPI data collector is responsible for collecting the prices of specific items on a monthly basis in a selection of retail premises across your postcode area. It is important work that impacts every industry in the country and is taken on two set days every month – always a Monday and Tuesday.

CPI Collectors have the opportunity to plan their schedule to perform approximately 12 hours of work over these two set days per month.

We’re recruiting throughout the UK, if you are over 18, have a vehicle & a valid UK driving licence, and want to earn money whilst visiting shops – then this is the role for you!

£12.22 per hour (£10.90 per hour + £1.32 holiday pay) outside London, plus travel expenses.

£13.39 per hour (£11.95 per hour + £1.44 holiday pay) inside London, plus travel expenses.

We will provide you with comprehensive training to fully equip you with the knowledge and skills to succeed.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is the Government Department responsible for producing the Consumer Prices Index (CPI), the most used measure of inflation in the British economy. Collectors from Kantar Public collect prices of goods and services for a wide range of the most purchased items in over 140 locations across the United Kingdom and the ONS compares how this change over time. As a CPI Collector you will play a pivotal role in this important task.

This is the perfect part-time role for a person looking for a customer service, sales, or administration role – that has existing commitments, childcare, or caring responsibilities looking to supplement their income.

Some assignments will be very local to you; travel up to 30 or so miles can be necessary.
