Are you interested in being a key player in our exciting initiative to support the whole organisation to lift its ability to respond effectively to underlying trauma and other psychological issues within our drug and alcohol services? Do you want to enable our recovery workers to support people through their substance use recovery journey more effectively?

At With You, we use our expertise to deliver support and raise awareness around drugs, alcohol and mental health, to enable people to have greater choice about their lives, free of problematic substance use. We are currently recruiting for qualified HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologists, to join us in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse service user group. If you are looking to join a forward thinking, values-driven charity that treats our people with warmth, compassion and respect, we’d love to hear from you.

Your role is to grow and support the team’s ability to respond effectively to individuals’ past trauma, to also help build motivation and develop resources to assist people to change the way they think, feel and behave. As part of your role, you will hold a specialist caseload of service users with co-existing substance use and mental health needs, including trauma.

We are open to considering part time applications – please let us know if this is something you would like to discuss via your covering letter.

We are undertaking some exciting developments across the organisation and have a number of new Practitioner Psychology posts – team roles and lead roles –  to support these. We will therefore consider applications from qualified HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologists ranging from 1 year of relevant  post qualification experience through to those with a number of years relevant post qualification experience.

We are looking for Practitioner Psychologists with strong CBT and motivational interviewing practice, who not only possess expertise in their work within drug and alcohol services, but have a passion for developing skills and supporting and supervising others in the delivery of psychologically informed work. You will be a compassionate and empathetic individual, with the ability to connect quickly with the people we support.

You will receive regular clinical supervision and professional support from a more senior Practitioner Psychologist in Substance Use and will be in a supportive environment, where you will be encouraged to develop your clinical skills as well as providing an opportunity to develop leadership skills, making a difference beyond your own individual practice. There will also be the opportunity to engage in regular CPD and updates, in line with With You policy and professional registration requirements.

If you are interested in the system of recovery we provide and can help us improve the quality and effectiveness of the work we do, we welcome the opportunity to offer you a role that works alongside our expert practitioners in a great environment.

If you have greater experience than what is outlined on the advert and want to discuss more senior posts with us, please do get in touch.
