An exciting opportunity exists for enthusiastic, suitably qualified, experienced, and self-motivated candidates to become a Lead Server & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in one of four available roles.  

Working as a key member of the Server & Cloud Infrastructure team within the IT department, the successful candidate will lead a team and be responsible for the development, configuration, and on-going operational management and support of one the following areas.

  • Core Infrastructure
  • Core Services
  • Cloud & Applications
  • Endpoint & Security

The post holder should have excellent trouble shooting and interpersonal skills as they will be required to provide technical support to departmental colleagues and maintain regular communications with 3rd party providers where necessary.

Ideally, the post holder should have a relevant degree and/or industry recognised qualification(s), and /or extensive equivalent experience of the area they wish to specialise in:

 

Lead Engineer – Core Infrastructure

  • Storage
  • VMware Infrastructure
  • Backup & Recovery
  • Monitoring, Reporting & Performance
  • Infrastructure as a Service

Lead Engineer – Core Services

  • Active Directory Services
  • Print Server Management
  • File Server Management 
  • SQL Database Management
  • Platform as a Service

Lead Engineer – Cloud & Applications

  • Software Asset Management / Licensing
  • Messaging and Collaboration
  • Office 365 Management
  • Application Management
  • Software as a Service

Lead Engineer – Endpoint & Security

  • System Centre
  • Remote Desktop / Remote App
  • Endpoint Manager (Intune)
  • Security Software
