Joining the team as IT Support Engineer Apprentice, you will be based at the head office of Partnering Health in Whiteley. You will be assisting end users and healthcare SME customers when required. Additionally, you will be providing IT support to the company’s remote offices across Hampshire.

Please note: To be considered for this position, you must have a driving license and access to your own car or motorbike.

Training to be provided

Full training towards L3 Support Technician will be provided. You will complete a 22-month apprenticeship which includes 17 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham.

About the role

As an IT Support Engineer Apprentice, you will take on a varied and exciting role where no two days are the same. On your new role you will be:

  • Providing 1st to 2nd line technical support to end users
  • Troubleshooting and repair any hardware and software
  • Resolving software and application issues
  • Completing documentation and quick step deployment guides
  • Providing appropriate support to staff using new technologies

Info

Monday – Saturday 08:30 – 17:00. You will be working a 5 day week, which you will get a day off in the week for working Saturdays (37.5 hours per week). The salary is dependant on experience. Essential Skills

As our ideal IT Support Engineer Apprentice, you will have a keen interest in IT and be eager to learn new skills. You will also require the following skills and qualifications:

  • Good technical understanding of IT
  • Troubleshooting knowledge across Hardware, Operating Systems and Applications
  • Self-motivated, keen to develop and desire to learn
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise
  • A full driver’s license as commuting to other company’s offices will be required
  • GCSE maths and English grades A*-C/4-9 or level 2 equivalent

Desired Skills

  • Experience / knowledge in telephony platforms
