We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Service Manager to join Oak Furnitureland in a pivotal role within the HR management team.

This new role will be instrumental in the development and delivery of vital employee services across the entire business. A fully autonomous role managing HR administration, policies, and processes throughout the full employee life cycle.

This HR Service Manager role will require a strong emphasis on both improving and optimising existing day to day operational foundations, within onboarding, HR policy, employee relations administration, and HR reporting and systems.

Working alongside Talent Acquisition, Payroll and HR Operations, this cross-functional role demands high levels of stakeholder engagement and management to ensure services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

 For this HR Service Manager role, we are looking for an experienced and ‘hands on’ individual with a proven track record in defining and leading process improvements which positively and significantly impact the performance of both the people and the organisation.

Collaborating directly with the senior leadership team to create a short, medium, and long-term plan to support the delivery of the wider HR strategy, with clear ownership, timescales and measurable deliverables.

This is a hybrid role, and we can offer homeworking two or three days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review onboarding process and documents, from point of offer and all onboarding touchpoints against candidate experience, DE&I, compliance, quality and purpose and values
  • Managing and reviewing the HR administration processes throughout the full employee lifecycle
  • Inspire, lead, and coach a small team of HRSC administrators
  • Develop a framework of accountabilities/processes/roles and responsibilities for HR Services team
  • Set objectives and manage individual and team performance
  • Manage the relationship with third party providers/vendors/contractors to ensure delivery against contract KPI’s
  • Optimise processes and procedures to deliver customer satisfaction and operational excellence
  • Establish and communicate service delivery standards, key performance indicators (KPl’s) and service level agreements (SLA’s)
  • Ensure HR policies, advice, and procedures follow local employment laws and regulations
  • Manage HR data and analytics. Prepare, deliver, and manage scheduled and timely ad-hoc reports
  • Oversee the monthly production of the HR scorecard, providing meaningful accurate HR data to key stakeholders
  • Build continuous improvement strategies that focus on delivering great customer outcomes and operational efficiencies
  • Support the implementation of DE&I initiatives within the HR Service Centre, ensuring policies, processes, and advice supports the wider DE&I strategy
  • Manage all onboarding and HR administration processes and activities ensuring compliance with audit requirements
  • Responsible for moving organisational culture and practices towards “self-service”
  • HR system data integrity, identify missing and inconsistent use of data fields and work with the team to ensure clean data is held on the system. Ensure the provisions of the Data Protection Act are always adhered to, and the security and confidentiality of the company’s information is safeguarded
