Have you recently graduated with a Law degree or similar and speak fluent German? Are you keen to apply your skills in a business setting whilst gaining further qualifications? This established practice in South East London is strengthening their team in anticipation of new contracts coinciding with new the immigration policies. This is an entry level role.
An immigration practice which supports both Businesses and Individuals with European and worldwide Immigration applications, has an opportunity for an Immigration support assistant to join their team of specialist legal executives. The role may also be suitable for a Law graduate seeking an alternate legal career path as the company provides excellent career development and the opportunity to gain formal qualifications.
Under a formal Supervision Plan, you will train towards Level 1 registration with the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC).
Technical:
- Train towards level 1 registration with the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC).
- Learn on the team about the business immigration processes needed for foreign nationals to work in the UK.
- Stay up to date with government legislations and UKVI guidance.
Case working and Operational:
- Follow instructions accurately and keep stakeholders informed.
- Ensure deadlines and reporting requirements are met on time.
- Make sure that Service Legal Agreements are adhered to when assisting with client work.
- Draft and check legal documents and application forms for clients and assist with preparation and submission for applications.
- Build relationships and maintain excellent communication with fellow colleagues in the UK and overseas.
- Assist with projects/tasks to aid the team (such as research, templates and training)
Compliance:
- Comply with Smarter Immigration Manager (SIM) inputting and reporting requirements.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Essential Skills
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Organisational, multi-tasking and accuracy skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills when working with a range of audiences.
- Customer service experience is desirable.
- Research skills and the ability to learn new areas of work as required.
- A strong work ethic towards the provision of excellent service to internal clients.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Willingness to undertake research and learn new areas of work.
