We are looking for someone with experience across the full breadth of digital marketing disciplines but with specialisms in paid acquisition, retention, lead generation, and associated strategies and tactics where you will play a key role in the delivery and on-going support of two new ecommerce websites (Project MI-2).

As part of this Ecommerce Marketing Manager role, you will also be involved with planning and executing digital marketing activity and campaigns across ecommerce and inspirational websites, optimising content and landing experiences (CRO) against targeted audiences, utilising the latest practices in PPC and SEO.

You will also be monitoring and reporting on the performance of digital campaigns whilst providing digital support and advice to key stakeholders around the business.

This Ecommerce Marketing Manager role would suit a self-starting, confident team player who is a highly organised and is results driven with excellent attention to detail.

Some of the responsibilities of the Ecommerce Marketing Manager

  • Build, implement, and manage paid acquisition, retention, and lead generation activity (PPC, Display, Affiliate, Paid Social etc…)
  • Manage the paid advertising budget
  • Work with the wider team, conceptualise, design, and deploy on-site and off-site promotions using our CMS and ecommerce platforms
  • Build automated marketing campaigns to provide autonomous on-going engagement with new and existing customers
  • Design, build, and use landing pages to support new customer acquisition, lead generation, and retention
  • Work closely with CRM and marketing teams to ensure a holistic approach across campaign activity is achieved
  • Implement best-in-class SEO tactics to drive organic growth
  • Influence and assist with the creation, deployment, and monitoring of emails to customers and prospects using our email platform
  • Use analytics and other tools to track, analyse, and produce regular reports showing effective performance and ROAS/ROI
  • Some agency management will be required to deliver high impact, cost-effective content and campaigns
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with team members and stakeholders across the business
  • Work closely with Head Office to ensure campaigns are delivered to group best practice

Essential Skills

  • Hands-on use of Google Ads, Campaign Manager, Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Search Console
  • Use of SEO tools (e.g. Search console, Screaming Frog, Moz, SEM Rush, Ahrefs etc.)
  • Use of CMS and Ecommerce platforms (e.g. Jahia, WordPress, WooCommerce, Magento, Endeca etc.)
  • Be technically competent with website hierarchy, architecture and have good basic SEO knowledge
  • Good working knowledge of HTML (CSS and JavaScript a bonus)
  • Experienced with use of email / marketing automation platforms – Eloqua is desirable but experience with other platforms will be considered (e.g. Pure360, Dotmailer, HubSpot, Mapp etc.)
  • Experience setting up and managing affiliates
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite is necessary

Desired Skills

  • An IDM, CIM / other relevant (marketing) qualification 
  • Use of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop) is desired
  • Experience running effective display and programmatic campaigns
