With You are recruiting for a Director of UK Marketing and Communications, to cover a period of maternity leave. This role will lead the organisation’s marketing and communications activities to support the organisation’s wider goals, ensuring that our reputation in the media and with the wider public is enhanced in line with our strategy. This role will join our new Marketing and Communications directorate, an innovative team of people who are committed to raising the profile of With You and connecting with our stakeholders in new ways. If you are looking to join a forward thinking, values-driven charity and have the passion and expertise to drive our external marketing and communications, we’d love to hear from you.

As part of this role, you will enable With You to grow income in our targeted geographical growth areas, by developing and amplifying key messages that will resonate with our key audiences – Commissioners, Directors of Public Health and other key decision makers; potential new staff and potential service users. With clear direction and inspirational leadership, you will motivate your team to demonstrate and uphold high levels of performance, to enable them to translate With You’s strategy into consumable key messaging that will resonate with our audiences. As part of the Senior Leadership team, you will help to translate the UK Marketing and Communications strategy into effective operational plans which will enable us to help more people get better. We are looking for someone who can embed the newly formed Marketing and Communications Directorate and position it at the heart of the organisation, role modelling an infrastructure that delivers a strong leadership culture for the team.

Extensive experience of leading a Marketing and Communications function is key to this role, along with knowledge of the approaches, tools and techniques that support clear implementation of strategy. You will have demonstrable experience in securing sustained media coverage, nationally and locally, with a proven ability to make stories simpler and more interesting for our audiences. This is a busy team, with multiple priorities ongoing and huge plans for growth, so it’s important that you are highly organised and able to manage your time effectively. We want to foster a positive and empowering culture and are looking for someone who can build meaningful relationships with diverse teams, exciting them about what our activity can help them to achieve. As such, it is imperative that you possess the ability to listen, engage, influence and build relationships at the highest levels, with a strong ability to lead and sustain new ways of working and build effective team cultures.
