This is a wonderful opportunity to work for a well-established maintenance company working within social housing sector.

Our client is looking for a Contract Manager with great communication skills managing our portfolio of properties mainly in the Chingford area.

What will you be doing?

Joining our team as a Contract Manager, you would be responsible for:

  • Financial Management of Projects
  • Estimating & tender preparation – obtaining quotes and prices
  • Project Management
  • Valuations – submittal of monthly valuations
  • Check on subcontractors accounts – agree variations
  • Recovery of retentions
  • Profit / loss reports – check on costs claims – setting up costs systems
  • Loss and Expense claims
  • Training, supervising and managing the contract team.
  • Creating standard contracts that the company can use in its dealings with internal and external partners.
  • Studying the requirements, duties and obligations of the company under contracts to ensure alignment with the company’s goals and industry regulations.
  • Supervising contract execution to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Researching business partners and their history prior to writing or signing contracts.
  • Monitoring the implementation and performance of signed contracts.

Essential Skills

What we require:

The ideal Contract Manager will have previous experience within a similar role working with Main contractors & Subcontractors. This role would suit those with an inquiring, problem solving mind and also for those that are task oriented. Individuals who can act on their own initiative and are self-motivated with a competitive drive to get tasks completed would be suitable for this role. You will also possess:

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to motivate others
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Full Driving Licence
