- 4 on 4 off shift pattern of 2 days and 2 nights
How you will make a difference as a CCTV Operator in the Security Operation Center
- Observe, report and document all unusual activity, and take appropriate action as and when required
- Ensure that all systems/databases are updated in a timely and accurate manner.
- Dispatch officers to check and secure access areas into and onto client’s premises
- Answer global multi-line telephones and dispatch security personnel via radio / other means as appropriate
- Initiate all emergency notification calls, including 999 or other emergency services assistance requests and possess extensive knowledge of emergency response procedures at multiple sites
- Prepare all required written reports
- Answer the telephone promptly and courteously within given service levels and processes
- Answer Emergency calls and dispatch the appropriate personnel required
- View CCTV displays for suspicious/unusual/hazardous activities
- Respond to system alarms and notify the appropriate response resources
- Participate in professional development courses and demonstrate improved job knowledge and skills.
- Undertake any further responsibilties outlined by your manager
Essential Skills
- Right to work in the UK, 5 year checkable history and pass a high level of security clearance
- SIA frontline licence and CCTV licence
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Basic first aid certification
- 1 – 2 years experience of working in a Security Operational Centre role
- Advanced computer skills
- Ability to be an effective team member and able to multi-task
- Considerable knowledge of security operations and procedures
- Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports
- Excellent organisational, customer service and communication skills
- Handle projects responsibly and have a flexible approach
