As part of this incredibly rewarding position, you’ll be supporting clients with all aspects of their day-to-day living, encouraging their independence while helping them maintain relationships and social contact, so they can enjoy the best possible quality of life that we all deserve.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for their first or continuing role within Social Care so you will be energetic and enthusiastic with bags of empathy and compassion.

Lapis Care Assistants understand the individual needs of the client and are friendly and approachable. We need our Care Assistants to be responsive to the changing needs of individuals and have initiative and self-motivation to be able to see can ‘the bigger picture’.

Your daily routine will include (but not be limited to):

  • Personal care duties
  • Assistance with medication
  • Light housework
  • Food preparation
  • Social outings, emotional support, and appointments

Full and ongoing training will be given to provide you with the skills to work effectively and efficiently. We want you to be able to problem-solve, think on your feet, and take the lead if required. When you are on duty you are never without the support of your colleagues and managers for the duration of your shift.

We would welcome applicants with skills in the following areas: Care Assistant, NVQ, QCF, Level 2, Personal Care, housework, Domestic Care, food preparation, End-of-Life Care, communication, Dementia Care, medication, Social Care, Community Care, Carer, Support Worker, Care Worker.

Additional Information

Hours: 07:00-14:00 (12:00 if on split shift) 16:00-22:00, 7 days a week role includes but is not limited to personal care, medication, light domestic duties, meal preparation, and social and emotional support. Specialists in end-of-life and dementia care.

Essential Skills

  • Respect for people suffering from a range of medical conditions with different backgrounds and beliefs to your own

Desired Skills

  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 or equivalent, however not required and training will be provided
  • Previous experience desirable but not a necessity as training and support will be provided
