Training to be provided

Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15 month apprenticeship which includes 10 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach. 

About the role

The Business Administration Apprentice will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Assisting colleagues in day-to-day business
  • Answering and directing telephone calls
  • Responding to general customer enquiries
  • Logging customer requests
  • Managing the CRM System
  • Scheduling meetings and appointments
  • Managing suppliers
  • General accounting
  • Supporting with basic ICT enquiries and marketing

Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:30 (40 hours per week). We would encourage early submissions of applications, as these will be considered on receipt and suitable candidates invited for interview. We reserve the right to withdraw the advertisement early if the vacancy is filled before the closing date.

Essential Skills

As this is an apprenticeship role, no experience is required! However, it is important that the Business Administration Apprentice meets the following criteria:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills in all aspects of the business
  • Confident with speaking on the telephone & face to face; excellent telephone manner
  • Good IT skills including the use of MS Office
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to use initiative and to be proactive
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use social media sites to support with Marketing 

To be considered for the role, you will require GCSEs in maths and English with at least a grade 4/C.

Desired Skills

An interest in the IT industry will be advantageous.
