Job responsibilities

As our Automotive Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities within the automotive category.  You will lead the strategy at company and account level, to ensure maximum profitability and sales growth are achieved.

Your role will include:

  • Creating and implementing new promotional marketing activities to drive sales and evaluate performance
  • Working closely with the marketing and pricing departments to undertake market research and price reviews
  • Working with the head of departments to deliver and communicate a company strategy throughout the business
  • Maintaining a solid understanding of competitors, competitors’ products and their channels of distribution and work in conjunction with the marketing and buying departments
  • Making recommendations for automotive product range reviews
  • Identifying and attending shows and exhibitions and assisting in the planning of the event,
  • Regularly reviewing account responsibilities to ensure they are being serviced correctly by best manager. Supporting customer visits when requested by the Automotive Sales Support
  • Generating sales reports and forecasting when requested and share sales performance statistics with the Head of Sales regularly
  • Actively communicating with all sales personnel and other relevant departments to share insights relating to the automotive category

Essential Skills

  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and drive a sales team
  • Experience in the Automotive sales industry with successful track record
  • Excellent knowledge of hand and power tools for the automotive market
  • Team player
  • Flexible, adaptable, and open to change
  • Commercially focused
  • Ability to influence/negotiate at all levels
  • Ability to analyse problems and provide effective solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong IT skills, particularly MS Office 365 and databases

This role will require regular travel customers and Head Office so a full Driver’s Licence is essential
