Securitas are recruiting an Access Control / ID Operator to ensure the production of ID cards, effective and efficient management of the Electronic Access Control System and other integrated electronic security systems as directed.
The postholder will provide the specialist knowledge required in managing a fully functional Electronic Access Control System, acting as the first point of contact for customers and colleagues.
- Working 50 hours per week
- Working Monday to Friday (07:00-17:00)
- SIA licence preferred
Your Responsibilities will include:
Administration of the Access Control duties across the sites, reporting directly to the Corporate Security Services Specialist (Securitas) and having specific responsibility for the following:
- Check all sites on access control system are showing online and are running at correct time and date. Report any issues to the NSOR to raise a job with ADT.
- Sort mail delivery and action accordingly.
- Produce ID cards for new starters.
- Replace cards which have been lost or faulty when online form has been approved by the appropriate Manager.
- Replace stolen ID cards.
- Amend staff access levels when the appropriate Manager has approved the online form.
- Process staff change of details.
- Extend contractors ID cards with approval from a Head of or Director (HOF or DOF).
- Action leaver requests ensuring deactivation of ID’s and requesting the return of ID’s.
- Run reports on failed entry into buildings daily; check if any of these are leavers attempting entry and query with appropriate Manager.
- Produce Monthly and Quarterly Reports.
- Manually check that all the leavers on monthly leavers report have been deactivated and report discrepancies to Corporate Services and Resilience.
- Housekeeping to ensure the data on the access system is accurate and up to date for Internal Audits.
- Run ad hoc access reports when requested by Corporate Services and Resilience.
- Administers the online access form library to ensure forms submitted have been actioned and completed correctly, contact relevant Managers if approval is still outstanding.
- Remove obsolete forms.
- Produce contractor and consultant active card reports each month to the Modelling and MI Manager.
- Collate Access MI.
Essential Skills
- SIA licence or the ability to obtain an SIA licence.
- Right to work in the UK and a 5-year checkable history.
- Must have a reliable means of transportation.
- Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Advanced experience of using windows systems such as: Word, Excel and PowerPoint etc.
- Highly computer literate.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to work efficiently and prioritise workload.
- Ability to negotiate and to create good working relationships both internally and externally.
- Methodical, numerate, grammatical with the ability to produce professional business documents.
- Flexibility – ability to work outside of normal office hours as required.
- 3 years’ experience of working in a customer service led environment.
